Backtagging: I'm glad to continue threads until they have reached a suitable conclusion, no matter how long that may take. If you prefer to handwave after a certain time period, please do PM me so that we can talk about how the thread would have ended so we know how to have our characters interact in their next scene.
Threadjacking/Threadhopping: So long as the other party is fine with it, I am, too. Threadjack away in any of my threads/posts.
Fourthwalling: Recognizing him as a member of the Shinsengumi is fine. He won't be bothered by that, since the Shinsengumi does have something of a reputation. Please don't try and tell him he's a character in a series of otome drama CDs, though.
Offensive Subjects: I am not easily offended! If you are concerned about a subject feel free to ask if it makes you feel more comfortable, but there is nothing that comes to mind that I would rather avoid.

Hugging this character: Feel free. Heisuke can be a pretty physical character himself, so depending on the context he may not react too badly to this.Especially if the character doing the hugging is a pretty girl.
Kissing this character: Again, go for it. He is the type that didn't really see kissing someone he had just met as a "big deal," but depending on the context/who your character is, he may react poorly.
Flirting with this character: Do it to your heart's content! He'll flirt right back unless you're not his type, in which case he'll probably just make fun of you.
Fighting with this character: Combat isn't something Heisuke is unfamiliar with. While I am all for fight scenes, please do remember that he is an experienced warrior and that he won't back down easily! If it looks as though the fight will escalate into something that may involve major injury or death, please contact me over PM to discuss it. If it's just bickering or a fight that would result in minor injuries, feel free to spring it on me in threads! I'm ready for anything.
Injuring this character: For minor injuries, inflict them as long as it would make IC sense for your character to be able to injure him (given his combat ability). For more major injuries, I'm not opposed to it! Just please discuss it with me first over PM IM so we can work out the hows and whys.
Killing this character: I'm not strictly opposed to it, but I don't want him to be constantly dying either, so please PM me to discuss it first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: He has absolutely no mental defenses (his canon doesn't involve supernatural abilities), so as long as you mention in your tag that your character is using them on him, I'll give you thoughts to work with in my next tag. If I happen to overlook a mind reading attempt, shoot me a PM and I'll edit something in!
Specific Permissions/Opt-In and Opt-Out
Heisuke's canon is Shinsengumi Mokuhiroku Wasurenagusa, a series of drama CDs in the otome genre. The very premise of his canon is heavily romance-based: The listener is the "protagonist" who gets to know him and other members of the Shinsengumi, who then fall in love with the protagonist.
As a result of this, some aspects of Heisuke's personality that are displayed in the CDs are geared towards making him a viable love interest for the protagonist. Playing him, then, can sometimes toe the line between coming off as ship-pushy and staying in-character; in his CD specifically, he does take a few actions that, in real life, would be harassment (kissing the protagonist and trying to touch her chest when first meeting her, tricking her into believing that in Edo people have to go into back alleyways and kiss). I understand that this can be incredibly sensitive subject matter and as a result, I will default to toning down his flirtatiousness to focus on words rather than actions, even though this may veer into playing him OOCly.
Two things, then: Firstly, please be aware that even if Heisuke flirts with your character, I am not trying to force you into a ship with him. If at any time you believe I have crossed a line, please let me know, either by PM or on my HMD. Secondly, if you would prefer that he does not flirt with your character at all, please let me know and I will tailor my tags to your character to be gen-only.
If you are familiar with his canon and would prefer that I do not tone him down in my threads with you, or even if you are unfamiliar but are okay with him not being toned down, this is the place to opt-in. Please leave a comment and let me know that I have your permission to not tone him down!
And, finally, if this character or his canon makes you uncomfortable, please feel free to opt-out of having me tag you. There are no hard feelings! You are more than welcome to post your opting-out here, but if you would prefer to do it privately, PMing also works.
